Tailored To Perfection

“I brought four garments to Tampico Tailor Shop for minor repairs: a button that insisted on coming off again and again regardless of my own sewing skills, a hem that kept falling out, a seem that came undone at the elbow, and finally a small hole in the knit fabric of a dress that could threaten to become a larger (more noticeable) problem. Four problems that I probably could resolve myself but didn't want to. Instead, I'd chosen to live with them for lengths of time.

The shop was well-lit with natural light from the front windows. It was clean and orderly. I could see the entire tailoring area - tables, sewing machines, and lots and lots of thread. I've never seen a shop quite like it. I'm used to having the actual tailoring area masked from view by curtains or walls. Tampico only divided it from the customer area with a counter.

The owner of the Tampico was the person who discussed my repairs with me and then performed the tailoring himself. He was professional. He asked me when I needed the clothes back - later that day? Oh no. I could wait a few days. It seemed as if he would have it done that day anyway though.

I returned a few days later with about $30 in cash. I was used to being charged $5 for buttons at my dry cleaners so I expected to pay at least $20. But no! It was only $8! For all four of my garments! I was so surprised. All of my clothes were repaired to my liking.

Considering the speed and quality of the repairs and the price, I can only make the highest of recommendations for Tampico. Besides that, there is always street parking available right in front of the shop. I don't know how it could be more convenient for me!”

I took 7 pair of pants to Tampico to have hemmed, I thought that I was going to spend an arm and a leg and then he said $70 dollars........... WHAT!, this was cheaper than one pair of pants. 2 days later  I have them back at home and ready to wear. Now all I hear is how well my pants look on me and people asking if I had them made. Im about to take a couple of blazers and jeans over and have those tailored as well. If you want your clothes to look like they were made just for you, check this place out...... you won't be disappointed!!!!!
